"No crown comes without a curse, and no scars come without a cure."
Scene 1
Ishika: "What do you want?"
Her voice was sharp, dripping with irritation. His presence stirred strange emotions inside her, the ones she had never felt before and it frustrated her. Something in those ocean-blue eyes pulled at her, make her captivating, like a dangerous.
Rudraksh: "Tum."
Ishika: "You can't even imagine what you desire, Mr. Ranawat... so it's better for you to get the hell out of here."
She spat her words in anger, trying to push past him. But Rudraksh, without a second thought, stepped closer. For the first time, her heart skipped a beat at someone's presence. She gulped hard but kept her composure, taking a step back.
He smirked seeing the reaction his presences have on her. His oceanic-blue eyes locked on hers and for the first time, someone dared to meet his gaze without blinking. The air between them thickened, heavier than words. As he stepped closer, she instructively take step back.
Step forward... step back.
Step forward... step back.
Finally, she felt his cold presence against her skin, trapped between him and the glass wall. Yet her hazel-brown eyes did not waver. Fear melted into frustration and strange intrigue.
Her voice, laced with authority and warning:
Ishika: "Don't you dare do this again... or you'll find yourself seven feet under."
She shoved him aside and walked past. But his voice echoed:
Rudraksh: "You will be mine... only mine, Miss."
She stopped, eyes blazing red, and turned only to find him winking.
Rudraksh: "Talab hain tu... tu hi nasha."
She shot him a deadly glare and walked away.
Rudraksh: "Gulaam hain dil ye tera... aaja meri baahon mein aa."
He watched her leave, smirking because the Devil always knows when he's won.
Ishika (muttering): "Nirlaaj!!"
Scene 2
Ishika pouted, slightly frustrated:
Ishika: "Aap sunte hi nahi hain hamari baat."
He murmured softly, almost teasing:
Rudraksh: "Aapki kasam jaan... sirf aap hi ki sunta hu."
Scene 3
Today, those blue eyes held something strange, something unsettling. Ishika tried to read them, but they were too deep to fathom. In that moment, their hearts beat in unison, eyes confessing emotions they had long hidden.
Then a gunshot.
"Shhhhhllll"
Time stopped. The world they had been weaving for years shattered in an instant. Their hearts, once aligned, now trembled against the cruel hand of destiny. Vows of forever seemed to fade in the chaos of a single moment.
Author's Note
Well... sach kahu to, this is my first time writing a prologue like this, so I'm not sure if I captured the emotions perfectly. It took me three days to write, but I feel this sets the tone where destiny's beginning already hints at the end.
If you feel this is too intense or confusing, please drop your thoughts in the comments I'd love to hear your suggestions. But if you read carefully, I promise, you'll feel connected to Ishika and Rudraksh.
